Silence behind the chaos

In summer 2019 I travelled to South Portugal with my film camera in hope of documenting life behind the tourist lines. Portugal is a hotspot that attracts tourists all year long with numbers peaking in Summer. However, where I would be staying was in Rio De Moinhos, an area of 36.74 km² with an estimated population of 200 people. Capturing raw emotions and displays of lifestyle in an area that feels worlds away from a tourist capital, yet only a 1-hour drive from Algarve.
